A luxurious residence rich in history and charm, art and splendid architecture, this is our Suite.

Grand Duke's Presidential Suite. The neoclassical style loggia building was formerly the so-called Terrazzino Reale sul Prato, a wooden stage erected by the Grand Duke of Lorraine at the point where the road leading to the Porta al Prato and the Cascine Park allowed a wide view. The Palco used to welcome His Court in occasion of the Berber horse races, an event of very ancient origin also recalled by Dante in the Divine Comedy, which was held to celebrate important historical events, military victories and achievements or important religious anniversaries. Later, in 1819, Grand Duke Ferdinand III decided to transform the loggia into a residence, enriched with frescoes by painter Luigi Ademollo.

The Suite has a large bedroom where there is, in the centre, a large four-poster bed exactly under Ademollo's fresco, 3 large windows with small terrace overlooking the main street, and a large living area separated from the bedroom by one of the old walnut doors from the 1800s.

The beautiful original French oak parquet flooring of the period, expertly restored, gives an emphasis even more to the whole environment. The Suite is reached by a beautiful staircase, also frescoed, which leads from the ground floor Royal Terrace to the Piano Nobile.
